Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration Expansion Revealed: Everything We Know So Far
The highly anticipated **Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration expansion** has officially been revealed, marking a major milestone for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. The special anniversary set is scheduled to release worldwide on **September 16, 2026**, with additional commemorative products expected to launch throughout the year.
Featuring an estimated **150 cards**, including Secret Rare cards, 30th Celebration is set to become one of the most collectible Pokémon TCG releases of the year.
30 Classic Pokémon Cards Return for the Anniversary
Following the success of the Celebrations expansion from 2021, the 30th Celebration set will bring back 30 iconic Pokémon cards from throughout the history of the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
Each returning card will feature:
- A special **30th Anniversary Pikachu stamp
- Exclusive anniversary foil treatments
- Unique commemorative artwork styling
Similar to previous anniversary sets, these classic reprints will be designed for collectors and will not be tournament legal.
Every Card in the Set Will Be Holographic
One of the biggest highlights of Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration is that every card in the expansion will feature a holofoil finish.
Each booster pack will include:
- Five foil Pokémon TCG cards
- One foil Basic Energy card
- One Pokémon TCG Live code card (English products only)
With every pack containing six foil cards, the set is designed as a premium collector-focused experience.
Every Booster Pack Includes a Pikachu Card
A standout feature of the 30th Celebration expansion is that every booster pack will contain a Pikachu card.
The set will include 30 unique Pikachu cards, each featuring artwork from a different artist. These cards will include special numbering that identifies their place within the collection, giving collectors the challenge of completing the entire Pikachu lineup.
New “Futuristic Rare” Rarity Introduced
Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration will introduce a brand-new card rarity known as Futuristic Rare.
These cards will feature vibrant, futuristic artwork created by renowned Japanese artist YOSHIROTTEN, showcasing Pokémon through imaginative designs inspired by the possibilities of the future.
According to Pokémon, each Futuristic Rare card represents “hope toward an unknown future,” making this new rarity one of the most anticipated parts of the expansion.
Day, Night, and Legendary Pokémon Themes
The new cards in 30th Celebration will explore Pokémon across different times of day, featuring artwork centered around daytime and nighttime themes.
The expansion will also continue the anniversary tradition of celebrating Legendary Pokémon, with the set expected to include anniversary versions of Legendary Pokémon from across the franchise.
